Music Partners & Suppliers

Erk FM is Erk’s music podcast that started in 2009. Erk FM would not be possible if it was not for his music partners and suppliers allowing him to play podsafe and indie music from around the world. This page gives you the complete list of regular suppliers of music for Erk FM.

The shownotes for each episode will tell you the sources of music for that episode. Apart from the music partners/suppliers listed, other agencies as well as the artists themselves have supplied music for Erk. All music supplied by a music partner/supplier is used with permission of the music partner/supplier in terms of the terms of agreement between Erk and each supplier/partner. In addition, all other music is played with permission of the person sending the music to Erk, either a management company or the artist themselves.

Association of Music Podcasting (AMP)

AMP

The Association of Music Podcasting (or AMP for short) is a collective of over 60 like minded music podcasters who find music from a variety of sources. Artists are more than welcome to submit tracks to AMP for distribution to AMP members. Members support each other with their shows and are often a great source of information, support and music. Members are located in the US, UK, Europe and Australia (oh wait, that’s me!)

Deuce Management & Promotion

Deuce Management & Production

Deuce Management & Promotion have been a music partner with Erk FM since mid 2009. With many bands located in the UK but also across Europe, America and Australia, Managing Director Rob Saunders screens his artists carefully so I don’t need to. Like Ariel Publicity, Deuce goes for quality over quantity approach. To hear an interview that Erk did with Rob, listen to Erk FM episode 52.

Ariel Publicity

Ariel Publicity

Ariel Publicity are based in New York and have been a music supplier of podsafe music for Erk since late 2008. Going for quality over quantity, Ariel Publicity/Cyber PR (to use their full title) have been a great music source and are continually adding new artists.

Mevio Music Alley (aka Podsafe Music Network)

Podsafe Music Network

Mevio’s Music Alley (this week’s name for the Podsafe Music Network) was one of Erk’s early sources of Podsafe Music. Despite the parent company changing from Podshow to Mevio a couple of years ago, the Podsafe Music Network remained branded this way until it was rebranded in mid 2009. Many bands have a presence here as well as on other sites.

IODA Promonet

IODA Promonet

IODA Promonet was heavily used in the early days of Erk FM and are great if you need a specific genre or theme.

Music SUBMIT

Music SUBMIT

Music Submit was heavily used in the early days of Erk FM and is great if you need a specific genre or theme.

Jamendo

Jamendo logo

Jamendo was the exclusive music supplier for the 2009 Erk FM Musical United Nations Tour in the latter half of 2009. The aim of this series was to see if the one supplier (in this case Jamendo) could supply me with music from around the world. I heard some music that I would never have heard of from various countries unless I went searching for it.
