Erk FM: International 431 – Full Of Grace

by Erk

Welcome to episode 431 of Erk FM: International. On this episode, Erk presents songs from CC Grace. Her bio is the funniest that Erk has read in some time & it really sums her up well!

"C.C. Grace is a classic country and folk singer, currently living in Pasadena, CA. Little is known of her early life. She appears to have emerged on the California music scene full-grown. Some say she is the alter-ego of Callie Cardamon, a jazz singer also living in Pasadena, California. But Callie Cardamon is a brunette and barely five feet tall, whereas C.C. Grace is a blonde and easily 5’4” (in her kickass cowboy boots), so that couldn’t be true. Plus, C.C. Grace denies that she is anyone’s alter-ego and finds it insulting to be considered a mere creation of someone else’s imagination. It’s true that C.C. doesn’t remember much of her life prior to about seven years ago when she started writing and recording most of the songs which appear on her “Fortunate Woman” CD. But that could be due to many reasons, most likely that she fell and hit her head and didn’t regain consciousness until now. Regardless of who she...

by Erk

Welcome to Erk FM: Australia episode 410. Last week, Erk decided to go down a different path in his musical journey of discovery & knocked on the front door of Sydney electronica artist Phon (not literally, of course!) courtesy of Jamendo. Phon's album BrainDance was released in 2012 & is a staggering 61 tracks long. This perfectly illustrates how easy it seems to produce music & put it on line. Electronica is not normally a genre that Erk plays for a whole show. Erk normally doesn't feature 61 tracks on an episode - last week's episode made it to song 34. This week, songs 35 - 61 are featured including a song that goes for 24 minutes. Another rule broken!

Erk normally doesn't feature a musician that he knows nothing about. Consider all of these 3 rules broken on Erk's musical journey of discovery. Like last week, Erk isn't going to type the names of 61 songs by the same artist!
