Submit Music

Follow the suggestions for music submissions & Glen (left) won’t need to show you his shirt! Click on the photo for more music submission information. If you are an unsigned/indie solo artist, duo or full band, Channel Erk wants to hear your music for inclusion across our shows. Use the DropBox to send your MP3 music files (complete with proper ID3 tags, please) for possible inclusion. Music may be used across Channel Erk and/or Insomnia Radio: Australia as applicable. Please ensure that your website is working & that we can tell people about you.

Depending on your preferred method, there are several ways to contact Erk to have your music played on Erk FM if you require any information or assistance. Erk’s time is limited so the better you follow these instructions, the more chance your music will have of appearing on Erk FM.

Music will be allocated to shows as applicable. Metal will be played on Erk FM: Metal Monday. Australian tracks will be played on Erk FM: Australia (Fridays) & non Australian tracks will be played on Erk FM: International (Wednesdays). Australian artists do not need to be residing in Australia.

Genre is open to any sort of music and all submissions are welcome. Due to the number of submissions received and the way that Erk programs the show, your submission may not be received, acted upon or played on Erk FM immediately. To maintain a high standard, not all submissions may be played on Erk FM. If the lyrics and/or subject matter are offensive (or are possibly offensive), Erk reserves the right not to play the submission.

If your name or your band name is difficult to pronounce, a guide to how it is pronounced would be handy. As an example, Erk would never have guessed that Quimi was pronounced Kee-mee unless there was a mention of it.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have the legal right to submit a file to me and that I have the legal right and/or permission to be able to play the music. A submission will not automatically appear on the show. Erk FM is programmed in advance, usually with a different theme or genre each week. Typically, submissions are played within a 6 week period of being received. Erk FM is created under a Creative Commons licence and does not claim any right to the music featured on Erk FM. You may also want to submit more music to AMP (Association of Music Podcasting) who has over 50 member podcasts including Erk FM. AMP members are located across the world playing various styles of music. AMP members also jointly produce and host a weekly music show called AMPed New Music Weekly that is released (with a different host) every Monday.

UBER IMPORTANT: NO BIO = NO PLAY. I want to tell the world about your music. I like biographical information. I want to know how your band started, how you got your name, interesting things that have happened. If your website etc does not work or there is no bio information, I can’t tell the world.

Send me your track

NO BIO = NO PLAY.

NOTE – DUE TO THE FORMAT OF THE SHOW, ONLY METAL BASED MUSIC (AND VARIATIONS) WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ERK FM: METAL MONDAY.
