Erk FM: International (Wednesday)

Erk Hard Rock AMS

Photo: Erk & a very friendly server at the Hard Rock Cafe, Copenhagen. This led to later recording Erk FM episode 178 from outside the venue.

Erk FM: International is a music podcast featuring various artists from countries apart from Erk’s own – Australia. Available every Wednesday from December 2011, it is a companion podcast to Erk FM: Australia released on Fridays. Both podcasts were formerly on Fridays from January 2009 until November 2011 as Erk FM. This approach allows Erk to focus on Australian music in dedicated episodes while also allowing more exposure for overseas artists.

In 2012 & beyond, Erk FM: International episodes are numbered with odd numbered episodes & Erk FM: Australia episodes are numbered with even numbered episodes.

Erk FM: International 431 – Full Of Grace

by Erk

Welcome to episode 431 of Erk FM: International. On this episode, Erk presents songs from CC Grace. Her bio is the funniest that Erk has read in some time & it really sums her up well!

"C.C. Grace is a classic country and folk singer, currently living in Pasadena, CA. Little is known of her early life. She appears to have emerged on the California music scene full-grown. Some say she is the alter-ego of Callie Cardamon, a jazz singer also living in Pasadena, California. But Callie Cardamon is a brunette and barely five feet tall, whereas C.C. Grace is a blonde and easily 5’4” (in her kickass cowboy boots), so that couldn’t be true. Plus, C.C. Grace denies that she is anyone’s alter-ego and finds it insulting to be considered a mere creation of someone else’s imagination. It’s true that C.C. doesn’t remember much of her life prior to about seven years ago when she started writing and recording most of the songs which appear on her “Fortunate Woman” CD. But that could be due to many reasons, most likely that she fell and hit her head and didn’t regain consciousness until now. Regardless of who she is and where she came from, this girl can sing a song and bring tears to your eyes. Give her a spin!"
