From Sydney, metal band Gutter Tactic have been impressing Erk for some time. Originally meeting the band at a band competition, they have really grown since the passionate hard vocals of Chris were added to the band. With hard moshing fans right behind them, what was originally intended to be an EP has morphed into an album. This gig is the band's album launch and their first gig in 2013.
Appearing on Erk FM: Australia & Erk FM: Metal Monday on several occasions, Gutter Tactic were brutal at Erkstock, Erk's debut gig as a music promoter.

Erk FM: Metal Monday is a music podcast centred on various forms of metal (also may include hard rock). Part of Channel Erk Podcasts & based in Australia, Erk FM has been airing unsigned & indie artists from various genres since January 2009. Being involved in the western Sydney metal scene from the end of 2010, Erk has decided to present Erk FM: Metal Monday to showcase this often mis-understood genre of music.
Erk FM: Metal Monday was launched on Monday 03 October 2011. There are also preview episodes available on the website and via subscriptions on iTunes etc. The preview episodes were based on Erk FM metal based content originally recorded for Erk FM during 2010 or 2011. Erk FM: Metal Monday features various forms of metal each & every Monday with a separate feed & subscription for Erk FM: Metal Monday.

An overall highlight for Erk has been (and continues to be) attending many gigs, mainly in the Sydney area. He also hosted two all-day gigs at the Lucky Australian Tavern, a fundraising event for Queensland flood victims and also A Very Metal Xmas. During this time, Erk has made many friends and been to many venues that he had never been to previously. He covered the 2012 Whiplash tour (Australian east coast) & also covered the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise (USA, Caribbean Islands) early in 2013. Already, Erk has locked in his attendance at 2014′s 70000 Tons Of Metal.

Erk hates it when bands try to say that they are metal bands when they are not, just to get more people to listen to their music. On the other hand, some bands sound a lot harder & heavier live than they do on a studio recording.
