BOOK FORMATTING IN PROGRESS

There is an old saying that everyone is capable of writing at least one book. After thinking about it for some time, Erk was going to write an autobiographical style book about his work experiences on the railway. But in April 2010, Erk was inspired to write a novel. He had spent an evening talking and listening to author and podcaster Scott Sigler. He was currently featured in the podiobook version of Kenn Crawford’s Canadian Zombie Novel Dead Hunt, playing the role of an Australian backpacker. And while driving his train around the Bankstown Circle, he was listening to RE Chambliss‘ podiobook Dreaming of Deliverance. During this trip, Erk decided that he was going to write a novel. It was the afternoon of Thursday April 1, 2010.

This novel has a working title of “A Moment In Time” with the Twitter hashtag of #operationmoment. It is set in modern day Sydney and looks at the lives of various working women. They are all going about their respective lives and in one moment in time, there will be an incident that will see their roles combine. Their collective lives will change for ever. Erk uses his knowledge of various jobs and brings them all together.

As the book progressives, you will see here how the book is going. Erk will update this page as required. Erk is writing this novel online and using an iPhone application called My Writing Nook. This way, if he is out and about or wherever, he can write using a computer with an internet connection or his iPhone. Partly to celebrate his 5 year anniversary of driving trains and also his 3 years of podcasting, Erk will write the book first, self-publish it and then read it as a podiobook.
