Erk Pod 240 – Wacky Wacky Erk

Welcome to episode 240 of Erk Pod. On this episode, Erk is feeling a bit mellow and a bit wacky and is trying to adjust from late afternoon shifts to super duper early morning shifts in the space of 24 hours so it is going to be a short show. There were going to be some more stories and feedback but Erk isn’t in that sort of mood so they’ll be read next week on episode 241.

Most news from Nutty News Wire, a great source of wacky news! But to carry on from last week, there is a food story with a difference from Shawno. Hear what happens when a weigh-in goes wrong!

    That’s really unfortunate that you get stuck doing “super duper early mornings” when you hate them. It’s not fair of your employer to expect you to pretty much force yourself into jet lag in order to switch from later shifts to the super duper early morning ones. Not fair, and not healthy! Boo on the computer that “said no” to letting you switch out of those shifts. :(

    Yay, you played the haiku I wrote for you! :) The “Housekeeping” at your door made me giggle.

    You read a news title about chickens that can count. I’d like to hear more about that one, and also the one about finding cocaine at NASA hangar.

    This episode of Erk Pod taught me that it’s can be bad for your health to dance with bunny, and to go to Weight Watchers meetings. I learned that it’s bad etiquette to be loud on Japanese trains, to walk around outside without enough clothing on, to let your teenagers go to the toilet by themselves in Glasgow, or to let your drunken four year old steal from the neighbors. And I learned that “superfans” of The Simpsons are driven to do crazy things, and that school busses and planes can end up in unexpected places.

    I also discovered that I am taller than the shortest policeman in that news article, (but not by much).

    Great Wacky News Erk! This was a fun episode to listen to.
