Photo – Freaky photo in a lift after Dead of Winter in Brisbane recently – this lift was in Erk’s hotel for the weekend.
Welcome to episode 267 of Erk FM: International. Over the weekend, Erk received an email from one of his music suppliers with a lot of music available for download & airplay on the one email. The content of this email would easily give Erk songs for airplay for at least 2 or 3 episodes of Erk FM: International – which is a good thing! However while going through the list of artists in the email – Erk was surprised to find 2 of the biggest names on the commercial music scene on this list. According to Erk’s agreement with his music supplier, he can play these 2 artists … but does he want to?
Leaving aside the 2 controversial artists for the moment (which Erk will talk about during the show), there’s a lot of great music coming up in this episode – and this week, there’s no late night encounters with Sydney’s Finest.

I suppose it’s interesting, from an historical standpoint, at least, that “big name” artists are now including podcasts in their promotional cycles. Tho, I think you nailed the idea that most people who seek out music podcasts really aren’t looking for the same stuff that’s on the radio.
As far as Nickelback, I don’t really want to hear them on Channel Erk. Or anywhere else…
