Insomnia Radio: Australia episode 3 is now available!

Erk’s new music podcast is Insomnia Radio: Australia. Joining the Insomnia Radio network of podcasts with several local variations, the show is designed to bring Australian indie & unsigned artists to the world’s attention. Episode 3 is now available for download. Visit my Insomnia Radio: Australia website to listen to all the episodes as well as read some artist profiles. Rest assured though that this podcast does not replace Erk FM which is still going strong and fast approaching episode 100!

At the moment, IR: Australia does not have a fixed release schedule as Erk settles in to the new website and a new way of doing things compared to his system here at Channel Erk. The show is not included in the Channel Erk 5 in 1 feed but Insomnia Radio also has a similar mega feed so you can subscribe to all the shows as well as the IR Daily Dose which is one song per day.

Insomnia Radio Australia 01 – Kick Off!

Welcome to episode 1 of Insomnia Radio Australia! Hosted by Erk from Channel Erk, Insomnia Radio: Australia is dedicated in bringing you a wide range of indie music from across Australia. Produced in Sydney, if the music is Australian, Erk wants to know about it so you can hear it. You can email Erk at australia@insomniaradio.net as well as following @iraustralia on Twitter and visiting the Facebook page for show updates.

Get an episode as soon as it comes out! Subscribe via RSS (iTunes coming soon). This is a separate project than Channel Erk and will not be placed on either the Erk FM or Channel Erk 5 in 1 feeds at this stage. Visit the official Insomnia Radio: Australia website for more information and additional content over time. The show notes will not normally appear here on this site but there will be episode lists and updates available on this site’s Insomnia Radio: Australia page. And don’t worry – Erk FM is not going anywhere!

Insomnia Radio: Australia. Coming soon, hosted by Erk!

Happy Australia Day! It seems like the perfect day for a new Australian music podcast announcement!

Insomnia Radio is a network of indie music podcasters from across the world featuring indie and podsafe music. Based on a main show and various country, region & city specific shows under the Insomnia Radio banner, Erk will be hosting the Australian version. Other IR country shows include UK, New Zealand, Turkey with city based shows including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, Seattle and more.

At this stage, the IR: Australia project is at a very early stage. Show format/frequency & website information is not available at this stage but stay tuned! It is expected that the IR: Australia show will have a separate website and feed apart from Channel Erk. Also, I expect that the IR: Australia show will feature in the Insomnia Radio combined feed so you can listen to all IR shows on the one feed.

In the meantime, why not visit the main Insomnia Radio website and find out more about the network! Erk is very excited about this new project but it will not be replacing Erk FM!
